Manchester United are in the final stages of preparations for the coming season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already brought on Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton this summer, while a move from Raphael Varane should be completed soon.
The Red Devils are aiming to take to the skies, but the Norwegian is hoping for a few more changes to his roster over the next few weeks.
Manchester United are looking to bring on a new midfielder at Old Trafford this year. The Red Devils are expected to dump some players before the end of August. With that in mind, let's take a look at Manchester United's top August 8, 2021 transfer stories.
Manchester United hope to use PSG's pursuit of Lionel Messi to their advantage
Manchester United are hoping Paris Saint-Germain's pursuit of Lionel Messi will give them an advantage in the race for Eduardo Camavinga, according to the Daily Mail. The Red Devils are working to bring on a new midfielder this summer and have the French on their list of goals.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced that Camavinga's presence would make his team strong. The Premier League giants are eager to get the 18-year-old to Old Trafford but face competition from PSG and Real Madrid for his signature.
However, Manchester United believe the time has come to dive for the Frenchman thanks to Lionel Messi's upcoming move to Parc des Princes. With the Ligue 1 giants busy with the blockbuster deal, the Red Devils are hoping to give their rivals a head start.
Los Blancos may also be out of the picture due to their financial troubles. Although Camavinga prefers a move to Spain, Manchester United could stand a good chance of securing his services.
Red devil set £50m price tag on French star
Manchester United has set a price of £ 50m for Anthony Martial, according to The Mirror. The Red Devils are set to fire players this summer to raise money for further transfers and will be listening to offers for the Frenchman. Martial has blown hot and cold during his time at Old Trafford and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to take him further.
